How to measure size
Things to keep in mind to ensure the measurements are taken correctly
- It will be helpful to have a family member or a friend take the measurements
- Please use flexible tape only, like a tailor’s tape
- All the measurements must be in the same units, whether cm or inches
- You should preferably be wearing base layers while taking measurements, and avoid anything bulky
STEP 1 – Measure using a tailor’s tape
There are two key measurements that you need to take into consideration for figuring out your jacket size.
A) Chest – Wrap the tape measure around the widest part of the chest and do not inhale while taking the measurement. Tape measure over your chest should be comfortable i.e. not too tight or loose. Keep your arms loose on the sides, and breathe in normally.
B) Waist – Measure the circumference of your waist over the belly button. Keep the tape parallel to the ground, not too loose or too tight.
STEP 2 – Find your jacket size by checking measurements against the size chart provided
– If both the measurements do not fall in one particular size – use the larger of the two measures to choose the jacket size.
– If the two measurements are on the border line between two sizes, choose the one that offers a preferred fit i.e. sporty fit (lower size) or comfort fit (higher size) depending on your preference.
Remember, each brand has its own body size charts, so do check the chart before you select the size.
How to check fitment of jacket
How to check if the armour is in the right position and how to make adjustments to ensure the armours stay in place?
If you are trying it on at the store, wear it for 5-10 min to get comfortable in it. Keep in mind that the Miller is designed to work best in the riding posture with the arms forward. So other movements could feel restrictive.
STEP 1 – Confirm that the armours are in the correct position The jacket fit should be such that the armours are in the anatomically correct position. Since we are all unique, this could mean that the elbow armour might be slightly off in some cases depending on length of your arms.
STEP 2 – Ensure the armours are properly positioned.
- In case the jacket fit is correct but the elbow armour is slightly off, use the cinching mechanism to adjust the elbow armour and bring it closer to your body.
- You also have cinch straps on the hips for adjustment.
Important things to remember.
- The Miller comes with PowerTector CE Level 2 certified protectors for Back, Shoulder, Elbows AND CHEST.
- Even the best of protective armour is of no use if it is not in the right place. The Miller jacket comes with multiple adjustments to help get the armour position right for you!
- Smartly placed stretch panels at the back and elbows allow for ease of movement and ensure a snug fit to the body.
- The Miller is a well-ventilated riding jacket making it perfect for the hot and humid Indian conditions. We achieved this by using a combination of a special blend of mesh and fabric in the construction of the jacket, as well as by using ventilated Powertector CE Level 2 protectors.
- We even made sure that the inner lining of our jacket pockets are made of mesh so that it does not inhibit the flow of air when you’re on the move.
- The inner lining of the jacket is also treated to enhance moisture wicking which helps cool you down during long days in the saddle.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Body armours/ protectors must always be removed before starting the washing process
