The DENALI CANsmart™ Controller GEN II harnesses the flexibility and intelligence of your KTM's CAN bus electrical system to make accessory installation easier. It provides plug-and-play installation and integrated control of up to four accessories, with dozens of customizable settings accessible through your KTM switch cluster or the CANsmart™ Accessory Manager Software.

• Plug-and-play horn installation for high-power aftermarket horns such as the DENALI SoundBomb™.
• Strobe with Horn can automatically strobe auxiliary lights when the horn is activated.
• Deceleration Activated Smart Brake technology can activate an auxiliary brake light during deceleration before the brake is applied.
• Flash Pattern Braking provides four selectable auxiliary brake light flash patterns.
• Circuit Function Selector allows any compatible accessory type to be assigned to any of the four circuits.
• Switched Power Source provides clean switched 12V power that turns on and off with the ignition.
• Delay Time Out can keep accessories powered for up to 30 seconds after the motorcycle is switched off.
• Accessory circuit can power GPS units, phones, heated gear and other electronic devices.

Pre-Configured Accessory Control

The four CANsmart™ circuits are preprogrammed to connect and independently control two sets of DENALI lights, a SoundBomb horn and a B6 auxiliary brake light.

KTM 890 Limitations

• Auxiliary Light One and Two dimming and ON/OFF functions are not available from the factory controls. Light settings must be configured through the CANsmart™ Accessory Manager Software.
• Turn signal circuit function is not available.
• Cancel auxiliary lights with turn signal feature is not available.
• Flash auxiliary lights as turn signal feature is not available.
• Auxiliary brake light activates with the front brake lever only.
• KTM Dongle feature is not available.

Installation Information

If installing forward lighting and the CANsmart™ Controller on a KTM 1290 Adventure, the fuel tank must be drained and removed to route the wiring under the tank. Tank removal is not required for rear visibility or horn installation.

Expansion

A EURO 5 Pass Through Splitter, sold separately, can be used if you intend to install two CANsmart™ controllers on your motorcycle.

Alternative for On-the-Fly Lighting Control

For KTM 890 models where on-the-fly auxiliary lighting dimming is important, the DENALI DialDim Lighting Controller can be used alongside the CANsmart™ Controller. A practical setup can use DialDim for two sets of auxiliary lights while the CANsmart™ powers the horn, brake lights, DRLs or other accessories.
