The Klim Carlsbad Jacket has been redesigned, and built to an even higher standard from the chassis of its proven, highly mobile predecessor. Engineered for excellent mobility, protection,n, and comfort when riding, the Carlsbad Jacket features dramatically improved core and arm ventilation, greater abrasion resistance, more, refined storage options, and enhanced impact protection. This is the light and fast, waterproof solution for hard-charging adventure riders.

The jacket features a Gore-Tex performance shell and is guaranteed to keep you dry. There are 630D Cordura Ripstopabrasion-resistant twisted yarn overlays on the shoulders and elbows, while the main body is constructed with FPL400 fabric (also used in the Klim Badlands Pro Jacket). The redesigned Carlsbad Jacket has more material durability and abrasion resistance than its predecessor. The jacket has 3M™ Scotchlite C790 carbon black reflective material at strategic places for biomotion recognition. The jacket has an adorable front zipper.

The jacket features an integrated armor system, with a D3O CE Level 2 LP2 armoroulder and elbow armor and a D3O CEarmor 2 back pad. The armor system is higher than the earlier Carlsbad jacket, so you get more protection. The shoulder and elbow armor pad pockets are adjustable to the right fit. The armor pads are removable. There are also Klimatek™ cooling mesh liners in the armour pockets as well as an engineered spacer mesh in the back-pad pocket. The jacket also has a zippered access point to run a kidney belt through (sold separately).

Improved ventilation is ensured with 2 double-headed forearm zippered vents, 2 chest vents,s, and 2 vertical back exhaust vents. With these, air flows in the jacket and out of the jacket efficiently and better airflow while riding. It also has a collar tab back feature to allow increased airflow to the upper chest area.

The redesigned Klim Carlsbad Jacket comes with better and increased storage too! It has 8 external pockets and 6 internal pockets. More specifically it has 1 forearm emergency ID stat card / water-resistance, 2 water-resistant front cargo pockets, 2 front handwarmer pockets, 1 oversized wastewater-resistance, 1 water-resistant tracker/utility spot tracker/utility pocket on chest, 2 lower internal zippered stash pockets, 1 left chest internal pocket with headphone port, 1 right internal zipper pocket, 1 right internal drop pocket and 1 concealed document pocket behind the back pad. Whoa! Now that is a ton of storage!

Superior comfort and fit are aided with a moisture-wicking polygieneanti-odorr liner, soft collar liner, an adjustable cinch collar, quick-adjust forearm straps, adjustable velcro cuff closures, an adjustable bottom hem, a jacket-patent zip connector, YKK zippers, glove-friendly zipper pulls.
