All Balls Racing Wheel Bearing Kits Rear (25-1731)
The All Balls Racing Rear Wheel Bearing Kit is engineered for performance and durability. Each kit includes high-speed precision bearings rated to ABEC 3 standards, ensuring reliable performance under demanding conditions. These bearings come equipped with triple-lip rubber seals that effectively retain grease while blocking out water, dirt, and other contaminants. They are pre-lubricated with Chevron SRI 2 grease, which contains advanced rust and oxidation inhibitors to protect against wear and corrosion—ideal for both on- and off-road use.
Installation Inspection Guidelines:-
To ensure optimal bearing performance and longevity, it is critical to inspect all relevant components before installation:
1. Inner Spacer Inspection
- Ensure the inner spacer bore is clean and debris-free so the axle can slide through smoothly.
- Inspect both ends for wear, burrs, or deformation —these must be clean and square for proper bearing seating.
- If the previous bearings failed, verify that the center spacer is not bent or damaged.
- The inner spacer should be the same length or slightly longer than the distance between the bearing stops inside the hub or carrier. A shorter spacer can lead to premature bearing failure due to side loading.
2. Wheel Hub Preparation
- Thoroughly clean the hub to remove any accumulated dirt, grime, or corrosion.
- Do not remove any metal during cleaning, as this can compromise the bearing press fit and overall hub integrity.
3. Outer Wheel Spacer Check
- Clean and inspect the outer spacers for signs of wear.
- Check the inner contact points (where the spacers meet the bearing seals) and outer surfaces for any pitting, grooving, or flattening.
- Replace any excessively worn spacers to ensure proper sealing and bearing alignment.
Compatibility:-
- KTM Duke 390 (2014 onwards)
- KTM RC 390 (2014 onwards)
Bearing Installation Tips:-
- Important Note 1: Improper installation techniques, such as using incorrect tools or applying uneven pressure, can result in bearing damage and drastically reduce the service life.
- Important Note 2: To simplify installation, gently heating the wheel hub (e.g., using a heat gun or warm water bath) will slightly expand the metal, allowing the new bearings to seat more easily and evenly.
