Helmet Compatibility

The FREECOM 2X can be fitted to virtually any helmet, including full-face, dirt-bike, open-face, 3/4, modular, and half helmets. Installation on half helmets requires a separately available Half Helmet Kit.

Live Intercom

Live Intercom provides an auto-reconnecting HD audio Bluetooth connection for up to 2 riders. When riders temporarily move out of range, the system can automatically reconnect when they return within range, helping maintain continuous communication during rides.

Music and Intercom

Music streaming and intercom can be active at the same time. When someone in the intercom network speaks, the Cardo unit automatically lowers the music volume so the conversation can be heard.

Universal Connectivity

The FREECOM 2X supports universal Bluetooth connectivity and can connect with Bluetooth communication systems from Cardo and other brands. To connect with a non-Cardo headset, start intercom pairing on the FREECOM 2X and mobile phone pairing on the other headset, then wait for the devices to pair.

Battery and Charging Information

Fast charging provides up to 2 hours of talk time after approximately 20 minutes of charging, with a full charge taking up to 2 hours. The unit can also be connected to a power bank or motorcycle power source while riding for extended use.

Do not attempt to disassemble or replace the battery yourself, as this can damage the unit and compromise its waterproof capability. If the battery does not charge properly, try charging for at least 4 hours and, if necessary, use a different wall charger and USB cable before contacting support.

For maximum battery life, Cardo recommends charging the unit at least once every 3 months if it is not being used for an extended period.

Software Updates

Use the Cardo Connect App to configure the unit and install Over-the-Air software updates. Software can also be updated using a USB cable and computer through the Cardo update system. It is recommended to update the unit before first use.

Sound Quality

For the best audio performance, position the speakers directly opposite your ear canals and as close to your ears as possible. The included booster pads can be used to adjust speaker positioning when required.

Warranty

Cardo offers a 2-year warranty starting from the date of purchase, covering product failures as detailed in the applicable warranty documentation. Keep your proof of purchase for warranty claims.
