Helmet Compatibility

The Cardo FREECOM 4X can be fitted to virtually any compatible helmet. For installation on half helmets, a dedicated half-helmet kit may be required and is sold separately.

Sound Quality

For the best audio performance, position the speakers directly opposite your ear canals and as close to your ears as possible. The included booster pads can be used to help position the speakers closer to your ears when required.

Intercom Range

The stated intercom range is measured under optimal conditions. Actual performance may vary depending on riding environment, topography, obstacles, high-voltage power lines, cellular towers, and line-of-sight conditions.

Battery and Charging

The FREECOM 4X supports fast charging, providing up to 2 hours of talk time after approximately 20 minutes of charging. The unit can also be used with a power bank or motorcycle power source while riding to extend operating time.

Do not attempt to disassemble the unit or replace the battery yourself, as doing so may compromise the waterproof construction and cause damage to the system.

Cardo Connect App

The Cardo Connect App allows you to configure your FREECOM 4X, control supported functions from your smartphone, and install over-the-air software updates.

Music and Intercom

Music streaming and intercom can operate simultaneously. When someone speaks through the intercom, the communicator automatically lowers the music volume so the conversation can be heard clearly.
