How can I improve my sound quality?

Sound quality is best when the speakers are positioned directly opposite your ear canal. With the helmet on, slide your finger inside the helmet and press against the side where your ear is located. This is where the speakers should be positioned. After removing the helmet, keep your finger in the same position and check that the speakers are correctly placed. Position the speakers as close to your ears as possible. If necessary, use the included Velcro booster pads behind the speakers to bring them closer to your ears.

Since every rider's head and helmet are different, the ear cavities may not always be positioned optimally. If required, consider placing the speakers outside the helmet ear cavities directly opposite your ears.

Can I use my unit in the rain?

Yes. Cardo units are waterproof, allowing you to use the SPIRIT HD in rainy riding conditions while maintaining communication.

How long does it take to charge my unit?

The unit features fast charging. You can get up to 2 hours of talk time after only 20 minutes of charging. A full charge takes up to 2 hours.

How can I get more run-time out of my battery?

The Cardo unit supports charging while riding. You can connect the unit to a power bank or suitable motorcycle power source and continue using it beyond the standard battery runtime.

Can I replace the battery in my unit?

Do not attempt to disassemble or replace the battery yourself. Replacing the battery may damage the waterproof protection of the system. If the battery does not appear to hold a charge, connect the unit to a charger and leave it charging for at least 4 hours. If the issue continues, try a different wall charger and USB cable and contact support if necessary.

The unit does not seem to be charging or the battery does not last as long as it should. What should I do?

Do not open the unit or attempt to replace the battery yourself, as doing so can compromise its waterproof protection and may expose the electronics to water, dirt, and other damage.

How do I make sure that my unit's battery lasts as long as possible?

Do not leave your unit unused or in storage for more than 3 months without charging it. Plug in the unit at least once every 3 months and charge it for approximately 4 hours to help maintain battery performance.

Which mobile app do I need to download?

You need the Cardo Connect App. The app allows you to configure your unit, control supported functions from your smartphone, and install Over-the-Air software updates.

Does the SPIRIT line connect to other generation Cardo units?

Yes. The SPIRIT line can connect to other Cardo communication systems through universal Bluetooth connectivity. Freecom+ and Packtalk units can connect with the SPIRIT using regular Bluetooth pairing. G and Q units need to be in phone pairing mode before starting the pairing process.

How do I pair to a non-Cardo headset using universal connectivity?

Start intercom pairing on your SPIRIT HD unit by following the instructions in the pocket guide or user manual. On the other headset, start mobile phone pairing and wait for the pairing process to complete.

Can I listen to music and be part of the intercom at the same time?

Yes. Intercom and music streaming can be active at the same time. When someone in the intercom network speaks, the Cardo unit automatically lowers the music volume so that the conversation can be heard clearly.

Something stopped working on my SPIRIT unit. What should I do?

Before trying other troubleshooting steps, reset the unit to factory settings. Press the Intercom/Mobile, Volume Up, and Volume Down buttons together for at least 5 seconds until the LED starts flashing purple and the unit turns off. Then turn the unit back on.

Why cannot I get the full intercom range from my unit?

The stated intercom range is measured under optimal conditions. Actual range may be affected by obstacles that interfere with line of sight, including mountains, trees, power lines, and other environmental conditions.

Are there limitations when using the music sharing feature?
