EBC Brake Pads GPFAX757HH Grand Prix - Front
The EBC GPFAX757HH Grand Prix Sintered Road Race Brake Pads are high-performance front brake pads developed exclusively for closed-circuit racing. The GPFAX compound replaces the previous GPFA compound and delivers an exceptionally high friction level, strong heat stability and consistent braking feedback under demanding race conditions. These pads are designed for use with race tyres or slicks on prepared track surfaces and are not suitable for street or highway use.
Features
- Race Use Only: Designed exclusively for closed-circuit racing and track applications.
- GPFAX Compound: New compound replacing the previous GPFA material.
- Extremely High Friction: Friction level measures approximately 0.6 to 0.7, providing a strong braking effect.
- High Heat Stability: Designed to maintain consistent braking performance during demanding race conditions.
- Excellent Brake Feedback: Consistent friction characteristics provide predictable lever feel and braking control.
- Reduced Rotor Wear: The new material is designed to wear better and cause less rotor or disc damage than previous materials.
- Long Race Life: Designed to provide approximately 4-5 typical race events of 20-25 laps, depending on riding conditions.
- Lead, Nickel & Zinc Free: The compound contains no toxic lead, nickel or zinc.

Race-Only Application
GPFAX brake pads are intended for ideal track conditions using race tyres or slicks on prepared asphalt surfaces. They are not designed for highway riding, street use or use with standard highway tyres. Use on public roads may be illegal depending on local regulations.
Race Disc Preparation
Before installing GPFAX pads, race discs or rotors should be properly prepared. Existing carbon deposits or glazing from previous brake pads should be removed using fine abrasive paper or an appropriate scratch pad. Avoid creating deep scratches on the rotor surface, as these can significantly increase bedding-in time.
Bedding-In Procedure
- After installation, ride gently for approximately 2 laps while applying the brakes well in advance of stopping points. Do not exceed 80 MPH during this initial stage.
- Continue for another 2-3 laps while gradually increasing brake load.
- Continue only once the brake pads feel stable and predictable.
- Bedding-in can take significantly longer when used with worn or distorted discs or rotors.
Pad Inspection & Replacement
Inspect the brake pads before every race and check each individual pad for wear. Replace the pads when any single pad reaches 2.5 mm of remaining friction material or when the brake lever becomes spongy. Pads should not be used below the recommended minimum thickness to help avoid fluid-related issues caused by excessive piston fluid volume.
Brake Fluid Considerations
Old brake fluid can negatively affect brake feel and contribute to a spongy lever. Glycol-based brake fluids are hygroscopic and can absorb moisture over time, including through the brake lines. It is highly recommended to replace brake fluid at least every 6-8 race events using a high wet boiling point racing brake fluid. Always use brake fluid from a sealed container rather than an opened bulk can or drum.
Fitment & Compatibility

Important Safety Information
RACE USE ONLY. NOT FOR HIGHWAY OR STREET USE. These brake pads are designed exclusively for closed-circuit racing. They are not ECE R90 approved or TÜV tested with a German ABE. Do not use these pads on public roads or with highway tyres. Always follow appropriate race-track safety procedures and inspect the complete braking system before use.
For the latest fitment information, please verify compatibility with your motorcycle and brake system before purchase.
