Installation Guide
Follow the instructions carefully to achieve optimal performance and ensure proper clutch operation.
Step 1: Remove the OE Cable
- Detach the OE clutch cable head from the clutch lever as shown in Fig. A.
- Relax the adjuster from the engine yoke and loosen the lock nut (2) if required to facilitate cable removal as shown in Fig. B.
Step 2: Install Easy Clutch Assembly
- Open the Easy Clutch housing by removing the Allen screws.
- Remove the fulcrum from the housing.
- Insert the OE clutch cable into the adjuster and seat the cable head into the fulcrum as shown in Fig. C.
- Insert the Pro-Spec short cable into the left side of the housing and secure its cable head in the fulcrum.
- Attach the other end of the Pro-Spec short cable to the clutch lever.
- Fit the dust boot over the lever connection.
Step 3: Adjust Clutch Release Point
Set the clutch release point to approximately 50% of the clutch lever travel.
- If the release point is below 40%, thread out the adjuster on either side of the Easy Clutch until the desired position is achieved.
- If the release point is above 60%, thread in the adjuster to achieve the correct engagement point.
- Further fine-tuning can be performed at the engine-side cable adjuster.
- Adjustment “a” brings the release point closer to the grip.
- Adjustment “b” moves the release point away from the grip.
Important Notes
- Ensure the clutch lever has the correct amount of free play and is neither too loose nor too tight.
- Excessive free play: The clutch may not fully disengage, resulting in difficult gear shifts.
- Insufficient free play: The clutch may not fully engage, resulting in clutch slippage and premature wear.
- Lubricate the OE clutch cable with WD-40 or a suitable high-quality cable lubricant before installation.
