Installation Instructions
Ensure all components are clean and properly lubricated before installation. Use WD-40 or an equivalent cable lubricant on the OEM clutch cable for optimal performance.
- Remove OEM Clutch Cable: Detach the clutch cable from the clutch lever. Loosen the lock nuts at the engine yoke and remove the cable head.
- Install Easy Clutch Pro Plus: Insert the 2B cable into the engine end by reversing the removal procedure. Route the cable smoothly while avoiding sharp bends or obstructions.
- Connect Clutch Lever: Connect the 2A cable head to the clutch lever by reversing the removal procedure.
- Adjust Release Point: Set the clutch release point to approximately 50% of the clutch lever travel.
Clutch Adjustment
- If the release point is below 40%, thread out the adjusters on either side of the clutch housing.
- If the release point is above 60%, thread in the adjusters.
- Fine-tune the engine-side cable adjuster to position the release point correctly.
- Turning the adjuster in the specified direction can bring the release point closer to or move it away from the grip.
Important Information
Correct clutch free play is essential for proper clutch operation and long-term component life. After installation, always verify the clutch lever free play and adjust it as required.
- Excessive Free Play: May prevent the clutch from fully disengaging, potentially causing hard gear shifts or difficulty selecting neutral.
- Insufficient Free Play: May prevent the clutch from fully engaging, potentially causing clutch slippage and reduced clutch longevity.
Ensure the clutch operates smoothly and the release point is correctly adjusted before riding the motorcycle. Professional installation is recommended if you are unsure about cable routing, adjustment or fitment.
