SW-Motech Greenland Bees Wax is a natural water- and dirt-repellent textile treatment designed to help maintain the appearance, water resistance, and durability of suitable fabrics, including SW-Motech Legend Gear bags. Made from beeswax and paraffin, it can be applied to G-1000 fabrics to adjust their resistance to different weather conditions and activities.

How to Wax G-1000 Fabric Garments and Bags

Waxing is easy and can be completed in three simple steps: apply, heat, and repeat.

1. Apply Wax

Rub the Greenland Wax block against the fabric using long, smooth strokes to leave a thin and even layer. Apply enough pressure to transfer the wax evenly without making the movements jerky.

2. Heat

Using an iron or hairdryer on low to moderate heat without steam, melt the wax into the fabric with long, even strokes. Greenland Wax melts between 55°C and 60°C (131°F and 140°F), so keep the heat around this range to prevent the wax from becoming too runny.

Wipe the iron clean after use before using it on other garments.

3. Repeat

Repeating the waxing process is optional but can provide increased water resistance. For areas that receive greater exposure, such as hoods, shoulders, knees, and the rear, applying several thin layers is recommended rather than using one thick layer.
